“I think we’re at a tipping point,” observed Veris’ own Michael Lent, a pioneer in the field and current US SIF Board Chair.  Today, more than $3 trillion in assets under professional management is invested using environmental, social and governance criteria, and “the industry has matured into a substantial sector.  It has attracted good managers, and investors are really seriously looking at these issues.”

Michael Lent Elected Chair of Social Investment Forum Board in 2011

Michael Lent Social Investment Forum held its annual board elections in November and is happy to announce that the board has elected a new chair, Michael Lent, CIO of Veris Wealth Partners.

SIF also added three new board members: Craig Metrick, principal and US head of Responsible Investment, Mercer; Matt Patsky, CEO of Trillium Asset Management and Phil Kirshman, CFA, CFP, financial advisor, Portfolio Manager Advisory and Brokerage Services, UBS Institutional Consulting. SIF also elected two new vice board chairs—Sarah Cleveland, a senior consultant with Towers Watson Investment Services; and Amy O’Brien, director of social investing at TIAA-CREF—and a new secretary, Paul Hilton, director of sustainable investment business strategy with Calvert Investments. In addition, SIF reelected Ingrid Dyott, vice president and managing director at Neuberger Berman, as its treasurer.
